BERT’S Second Generation Transmission has given the EDGE to Late Model and Modified Racers, with 50% less rotating weight, and the lightest and lowest drag unit available. The reliability and performance using new shifting-clutch system has increased the gearing in and out of the pits more ideally suited for today Late Models. All 2nd Generation transmissions are built with the highest quality materials and have the latest technologies available. Aluminum Case Only.

This revolutionary design is the lowest rotating weight gear box available.  The mechanism of the first and reverse are totally disengaged from rotation when it's in direct drive (high gear), so there are no wear on those parts.  Reduced rotating weight creates more power to rear wheels that is greatly felt by drivers.  Crate motor and limited engines series benefit the most from this transmission, either on dirt or pavement.
