Our innovative new Dominator Dirt Nose & Flare design is truly cutting-edge; a new standard in the racing industry!  Not only do they look awesome, but the integrated air-flow tunnel effect maximizes down force by directing air over the nose and across the hood and deck of your car. Dominator Flares tuck under the nosepiece for a seamless fit.  Triangular braces molded into the lower nose add strength for those nights when there's a big cushion.  The 2-piece Lower Nose Support (pictured below) strengthens things even more.  Installation is quick & easy, with assembly done off the car before fitting onto the chassis.  Available in 5 colors.  Approved by All Sanctioning Bodies Now!! CONCORD, N.C. 1-1-2012 — DIRTcar announced Thursday that Dominator Race Products has become the exclusive molded plastic nose supplier for DIRTcar sanctioned UMP Modified competition, effective immediately.

Dominator has made a multi-year commitment to support the UMP Modified and UMP Limited Modified divisions, including the Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals.  Modified competitors will continue to have the option of running hand-fabricated aluminum noses.

The Dominator modified nose is available for purchase in kit form or as components (left, right and center), and is available in seven colors including – red, white, blue, black, yellow, orange, & purple

DIRTcar UMP and World of Outlaws officials have also worked with Dominator to make adjustments to the Dominator late model nose, most notably the removal of the triangles along the leading edge. Dominator late model noses without the triangles are approved for use in all DIRTcar UMP Late Model and World of Outlaws Late Model sanctioned competition in 2012. Late Model competitors who attend events with older noses and choose not to remove the triangles may be subject to a 25-pound weight penalty.

“This announcement should put to rest much of the recent speculation about whether or not Dominator nose and flare products would be legal for the 2012 season for UMP DIRTcar and World of Outlaws competitors,” said Bentley Shaw, president of Dominator Race Products. “In particular, we are very excited about the feedback we have been receiving from competitors who have seen our new modified nose. We believe that it maintains the aggressive look of a traditional modified, while giving competitors an easy to mount, and more durable alternative to aluminum.”

When you start putting the Dominator nose/flares togeather you need to do it off the car - the flare & nose fit like a glove to each other bolt/rivet the two pieces togeather left & right sides - then attach them in the center / you can angle cut the right nose piece in the center to help with putting yaw into the car. The height of your front fender should be 37" high & center of hub to the tip front nose needs to be 52" for the best fit. The ground clearance should be set from the top of the air dam not the bottom of it. You can trim the lower air dam on a angle to the right side of the car. Ground clearance of 6-9" can be made. If the fenders are short like Rayburn builds - 35" the nose will be very low to the ground - with a 52" hub to tip. - You need to make the front end shorter - 50" - 49" every car is different.
